I have a new MSRT8 and have had lots of fun with it so far... in the manual it indicates you can go to Partial ESP by pushing the ESP OFF button momentarily, and this works fine... allows you more wheel spin. The manual also indicates if you hold the ESP OFF button for 5 seconds, you turn the ESP OFF completely and this is for off-road only... mine doesn't seem to do this... once turned off, you are supposed to get an audible chime, and a message in the EVIC centre... can anyone comment on this please??

I'll try it today and let you know if there is a chime or the sound of burning rubber!

Hmmmmmm... can you confirm this is what your manual says? I am thinking that with ESP OFF completely, one should be able to get more wheel spin... next time I am at my Dodge Dealer, I will ask the question...

GS Motorsports is releasing a widget that they claim will disable ESP completely as well as disable torque management(which makes for sluggish but tranny-saving shifts)at the flick of a switch.
Can't wait for feedback from purchasers of the unit.

When will it be available?

Interesting concept, I wonder if you have to sign a disclaimer to limit their legal liability! Sounds like a good idea, as I notice the car holds back a lot when accelarating, even slightly, into a turn.
Getting back to the ESP OFF thing... I tried holding the ESP OFF button for about five seconds right after I start the car, as opposed to after it has been running for a while. I get the chime sound when I do this... not sure though if ESP has been totally disabled, as I still have to try it out on the road...
