power programmer will NOT work on a 2000 Dodge Durango RT, hypertech dealer called hypertech to inform them, did work on a regular 5.9 360 , suposed reason is that on 2000 model RT came stock with the Mopar Performance PC, which caused a (non-calibration error code on power programmer) for 2001+ might want to call/e-mail hypertech to make sure if programmer will work.

It works great on an SLT/SXT or late 2000 and up R/T because they all share the same PCM. Prior to that you already have the factory performance software and don't need another flash done........why would you want the programmer?

As far as I know the R/T's come with a modded PCM but not a Mopar Performance PCM.....I purchased an MP PCM for my truck and noticed a nice difference in power along with the elimination of the speed limiter and the shift points were also moved up to 5400rpms.......
As for the hypertech III not working....I am not a user of this programmer so I wouldnt know if it works or not....just thought I would help straighten some things out!:D

Nope, they haven't come out with any 2003 version yet. I doubt they'll do anything besides the 5.9L and 4.7L PCM flashes.

I checked on a MP PCM for Durango RT and dealership showed me in book as the item being N/A, didn't ask about Dakota, was trying to get an answer on the performance program upgrades, thought it was odd that a 2000 and a 2001+ didn't have no difference in horsepower, even thoguht theres a different program in 2000 model RT, read complaints about JetChip showing nothing on dyno, so makes me wonder if mopar, hypertech, and jetchip are same in results on dyno, I've used hypertech programmer on a 4x4 blazer I had a few years ago, and it worked great, I've used jetchip also, and I'll hope to get an e-mail from dodge on the performance mopar pcm to let me know if its available and worth getting for a 2000 Durango RT , thanks for info SCOTTCBA1

Jet chips worked great on both my trucks,2000 5.9 durango and 1996 5.2 ramvan. As far as a speed limiter,my 5.9topped 110 on I-95 before any mods, now its so fast its scary,I'm spending my money on brake and suspoension mods so i'll feel safer blowing off pushy ford drivers!!

nitewk43, I did all the installations on my D except the headers, Y-pipe and exhaust which were done by professionals.
As far as results........I can smoke BOTH tires from a rolling start and get 13.5 MPG in the city. I'm VERY HAPPY with everything currently installed. 1/4 mile times are coming this Spring.
