:smokin: OK, i have pretty much made up my mind that is gonna be the next major upgrade for my truck. I know when i ask this next question i am going tohear KENNE BELL over everything else more than likely but what about other manufactuers? Anyone have any other ideas/manufacuers etc. Pro's cons of the kenne bell vs say vortech, paxton etc. Anyone runningone now? I am kinda leaning towards the Kenne bell myself but looking for some input on other makes. I REEEAAAALLLLY like the look of the KEnne Bell Polished S/C tho. :drivingz: :rck:

I'm with you man... I've been researching for a few months now actually. Heres my thoughts.

Right now, only Kenne Bell and Paxton have kits for the 4.7s. Kenne Bell isnt released yet. But they've been saying January so if it isnt ready right now it should real quick. Paxton is out right now.

I agree, the kenne bell looks nice under the hood. And I like the idea of all the low end. But apparently the Paxton is better for racing and further modding the engine. I want to get into the high 13s or low 14s atleast. I'm going to be changing cams and intake manifold, throttle body, gears and then it'll be blower time. Right now i'm thinking paxton. Been trying to find a 4.7 blown ram but havent had any luck. Keep us updated!

The Kenne Bell isnt released yet?!?!?!?! Dam, it's been how long since they showed the truck with it, it was even listed on a site i found for sale, wish i could remember which one. I was under the impression is was out already tho. I thought i heard somebody like vortech had one released to. Havent had much time here to look lately but guess i am gonnahave to make sometime. I raelly dont want to have to do anything else to the motor when i put the S/C on, at least as little as possible. Not really looking to make a racer out of the truck just would like to have a little more power. Test drove a new hemi saturday, DAM, i think the hemi in a truck just like mine would be a monster. Giving the trade in some serious thought. I can get a truck just like mine with the hemi/auto for right at 20k (supplier purchase program) so i am seriously thinkin bout it. may be cheaper in the long run.

I think for the money you can't beat an ATI. A much denser charge then the KB.

I have been looking for a charger for mine. I have a 2002 1500 5.9. Is there a charger out there for me. Looking for one that is fairly cheap not top top of the line. Got any links?

hey smokeyjw, i would almost be positive that there is one foryour truck seeing as how long the 5.9 has been around. I would try the major manufactuers and see what you come up with.. paxton, kenne bell,...dam, cant think of the others right now.
