well, you know how it goes.. new vehicle, new problems. My A-100 just does not want to be painted. we have a date in the garage for a coat of paint on wednesday, and she decided to start leaking fuel today. The leak is coming from where the filler neck and what i believe is the overfill/return line go up through the bed. the filler neck seems okay, but, when parked going uphill it was leaking with a relatively full tank, when i turned it around so the rear was higher the leak stopped. do you think it would be the filler or the return line? also, how would you access that area from the inside of the van? since it is blocked in by steel? I was thinking of using a cutting wheel to cut that box open....but....it is wet with fuel, and if it has an open hole in it i don't think sparks is a good idea. any ideas?

If you look underneath the van where the filler neck comes through the floor in the back left corner, there is a plate that is held in place by 3 or 4 screws. The vent tube is a solid piece of steel to this point and then it connects to a molded rubber hose that connects to a steel tube that passes through the framerail and then to another piece of rubber hose which connects to the tank.

Since the rubber hose is probably original and brittle, it's probably split where it is clamped to the solid tube going up through the floor.
