89 ram 50..2.0l..stalls

I have a 89 dodge ram 50 with a 2.0 liter automatic trans. ...My problem is that it will set and run all day at idle and will run fine even driving most of the time...But sometimes while driving down the road it starts acting like it is running out of gas..then stalls..but will start right back up..and run fine for a while then do it all over again..any help would be greatly appreciated.

I say start with the basics, mainly check your fuel filter. Also check to make sure your choke is operating properly. Check for vauume leaks by spraying carb cleaner all around, if it picks up the idle then you have a leak.

Thanks for the quick response..I already checked the choke,and for vacuum leak but never even gave the fuel filter a thought..I'll check that and let you know.
