Thinking about getting a jet chip. Does anyone have one or know anything about them that would persuade me one way or the other? Is there a better chip that someone knows of?

They should be out soon.....................or so they say.

I have talked with Superchip and Hypertech and at least superchip says that there is not a demand for these programmers. I called b.s. and have not heard back from either one of these companies. Whoever gets it done first and does it right will get my money. In my opinion I think they are catering to the easy to crack computers to make their money. Our cars our well engineered and hard to crack so investing more time and money into our cars doesn't make them as much of a profit as G.M. and Ford products do. I think they should give the customer what they want. Do you hear me Hypertech and Superchip I have some money for you as do a lot of other people across this country! Get off your butts!!! Oh ya about the question at hand I would not waste my money on Jetchip there customer service is o.k. but the product is not. I have a jet chip on my 96' ram and really I don't think it did a thing. Save your money for the carrot that is being danged in front of us. Later.

i e-mailed Superchips a week ago. I basically made a case for the easy horsepower and huge demand for a programmer in the Magnum/Charger Hemis that would benifit greatly from air/fuel improvements and the customers that would buy it simply for a governor that was reset to 148+ mph. I received the generic reply, they are working on it and to check back in a few months. They might be able to tell me something then. I love their products, but that generic reply is crap. They aren't even looking for Magnums. Hell, in the southwest region there are too many Magnums to count. Maybe with all the e-mails they are getting about it, they will start noticing the thousands of Magnums rolling around. I wish I lived in the southwest so I could be a test mule :D I want a Superchips programmer for both power and a Z rated governor. I remember a guy around here that has a Hemi Ram... He said his Hemi isn't a Hemi without it. lol

I attended an open house at Superchips last week, they held it to announce the release of their reprogramming kit for hemi trucks. While I was there, I asked about a product for the Magnum and 300's hemi. They said it would be out soon....................
If they have a product for the trucks, the car product should follow soon.
Just be patient................
I did get a nice (free) goody bag and a free T-shirt.

I can't give you any advice on when the other manufacturers will have a true chip available, but I can tell you from past experiences that the Jet Chip was a total waste of my hard earned $$'s on a vehicle I used to own. Jet will never get anymore of my $$.

I just cant seem to grab the carrot!! These guys know they have us by the short hairs. I still think it is a bunch of crap to wait this long when the new Mustang ,GTO and Vette are out.

Chrysler's programing code of their computers is very complex and hard to decipher, THAT is what is holding everything up.
