I have a 92 voyager 2.5 engine. I recently changed the water pump, now the car won't even turn over. I fixed the timing to stock specs. If you unplug the battery cable, let it sit for a while, and try to restart it will make a funny clattering noise. After you try to crank it over again, there is no power. Can anyone give me advice on what to look for?
1-faulty distributor or coil
2-starter
3-relays
4-fuses??????
this is frustrating:VHOT:

I would look for a bad battery connection, bad battery or poor ground before looking anywhere else.

SIX PACK is right. Sounds like the starter ain't getting enough juice from the battery. Good Luck and welcome to the COOLEST FORUM EVER :rck:

yeah, sounds right. I replaced the starter and starter relay and still same problem. The old starter soleniod was faulty too, but still same problem. I do think it is the battery now. It only cost me 20 bucks for the relay and starter from my local junk yard so that was pretty cool. thanks alot for the help

I'd recheck the timing,,,,
