I have a 92 250 Van w/ a 360. It runs great untill you get it up to 65 70 mph. It then begins to hesitate. It seems as if it hesitates when pressing or releasing the gas. I found one thread where someone had the same problem but no for sure answer. When I talked to various mecjanics they just want to change the basics the this other person has already changed with no success. I don't have money to change everything. You guys on hers seem real sharp, and I am hopinf that you might have some ideas. One other thing, once it starts running rough at higher speeds it will keep on even after slowing down. If you do not cause it to start (not driving over 60) it runs great. When staring it seems to rev real high and then settle down, don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. :help: :help:

I know you've done the obvious...but will mention it again..fuel filter...put a meter on throttle position sensor,map sensor,check coil output,egr valve,fuel pressure regulator...

I'm not much on the electronics. I've done the basics like fuel filter, plugs, wires. I have read about others who even had their fuel injection heads cleaned, caps and rotors replaced but to no avail. I feel like it is a sensor. It only does it at high speeds and it always seems to take about 5-10 mins at 65+ to start. Once I get it home and let it sit for about an hour or 2 it is alright. Where is the throttle postion and map sensor and how do I check them, I do have a meter.

First you should get a manual....preferably one from dodge, but if not a chilton or haynes will do..but they aren't as specific..next on your model..if you are in the van remove doghouse, and air cleaner assy.. on pass side of throttle body( on your right from inside the van)..you will seem2 plug in sensors about the size of a walnut one above the other screwed onto the throttle body with torx screws..;the top one is the map sensor, the bottom one is the throttle position sensor..get a book check voltage to these before buying..together they total about 100.00 for bosch...maybe 60.00 for gp sorenson. fuel pressure regulator is at back of throttle body about the size of 10 silver dollars..attached with 3 screws..but I can't stress enough the need for a manual and diagnostic tools...you don't want to simply change everything and by process of elimination solve the problem..that's too costly, and quite frankly you won't learn anything..the book will also help to teach you things.....

could also be a coil or asd regulator or dist pick up..they can start going and be affected by heat, when they cool it's all ok again

By the way how's the exhaust..ie the catalytic converter..could be plugged
