Hello everyone i am new to this forum, and to Dodge trucks in general. I just purchased a 1984 Dodge Ram D150 Royale SE. I really got a heck of a deal on it i think, this truck is extremely clean for an all original unrestored 19 year old truck. It only has one small spot of rust on the passenger side fender, 1 slight dent, and minor scratches, but looks real good! It has a 318 with a 2bbl carb on it (most likely a 4bbl in the future) 91,000 original miles!!! It was a classic story of being owned by an older gentleman who only drove it to and from his job with Chrysler. The owner only wanted $1,500.00 for it which it was more than worth it, but alas i still talked him down to $1,200.00!!! I am really looking forward to getting to know the people here, and i hope to learn a lot, and hopefully pass on that knowledge to others. I have found that finding sources for things like carpet, seat covers, and other items is not all too easy can anyone point me in the right direction, or should i just JC Whitney my way through it?
Well i guess that is all i have for now, i can not wait to get going on my new Dodge truck! I feel she has a lot of potential.

Welcome,
Good solid looking truck.
I have bought things through JC Whitney with no problems. They have improved their quality and customer service in the past 10 years.
Good luck with the "New" Dodge

jc whitney is good, like m37 said they have pretty decent quality now. nice looking truck, man. it looks to be in excellent shape, & you can't ask for a better engine, in my opinion. camper top's got to go, though. it looks tacky . no offense, of course.

Thanks for the input so far :) it is appreciated highly! As for the cap, ahhhhh who knows i intend to use this truck quite a bit, so it might be in my best intrest to keep the cap, or maybe get a new one. I'm not after a killer, just a good dependable truck.

What parts are you looking for?
New or used?

mostly new parts. i've got plenty of used ones, and can easily find more when i need to. i'm mostly looking for suspension & brake upgrades. also (wild stretch of imagination here) stuff like aluminum fenders or doors and stuff.

Hello to all the dodge dudes out there. I am a mopar boy for life. My first car was a 1968 newport with a 383 2bbl. Then I bouight my first dodge ram. It was a 1985 w150 360 4 bbl. Rasied 4 ins. It rocked and then it started to die at 196000 miles. So then I bought a 1993 w150 3.9 liter ram. This thing only had 38000 miles. So clean you could eat off it. I love Dodge and like to see more people out there likeing the right company. Love to hear about dodges and the great trucks there are .

go with flowmaster mufflers, dude, they sound better than any of the rest. the got about 10 different versions, too, depending on how loud and how aggressive you want it to sound. i'm running 40 series 2-chambers on mine. also remember bigger pipes will be louder and deeper in tone. i've got 2.25" pipe, and it's pretty quiet. what kind of deck and subs you getting?

I have an older DEH 1100 in my Rampage at the moment and it sounds awesome and as speeddragon said they hardly ever skip. In fact i had more problem with the expensive Clarion that i had in my CRX then this pioneer i bought for $100
