I replaced the 318 in my 90 van with a 360.I put a mild cam in it and I noticed the smaller base circle of the new cam.I checked it and found it was .020" smaller than the stock cam. When I reassembled the rocker shafts I looked to see if the pushrods were preloading the cam and I thought once oil pressure was there everything would be ok.I was wrong. Now the rockerarms are a little noisy from the lack of preload and I need longer pushrods. I know there is ways to check this but for now I just want to find a pushrod that is a little longer than my stock ones. .010 should do it. Any ideas?Maybe pushrod's out of something else?

get a hold of the guys over at hughesengines.com, i'm sure they'd be able to set you up with whatever lenght pushrod you need, and they could probably confirm exactly what length you should use. good luck!

The manufacturer of your cam should be able to recommend a pushrod for use with that particular cam.
