Or do you just screw up your ability to tow? I just need to haul a jetski and possibly motorcycle around...nothing close to 4Klbs max limit.

You could go with differnt shocks then. It's the correcting shocks that come with the towing package that make the springs pointless. Swap the shocks and enjoy the springs. Careful on the dips when yer towin' the jetski, man.

if you have the factory tow package, changing the springs will not lower the back of the car. the self leveling shock will keep the rear at the factory set height. i tried a few things to lower my car with the factory tow package. i ended up using sportline springs with regular magnum shocks, which are only available through the dealer. i tried a few other things too. i shortend the self leveling shock 2" to see if that would work with the new springs... nope.

however, in my quest to lower the rear, i discovered that i could lower the rear of the magnum 1 1/2" just by replacing the shock and using the stock springs. it seems the magnums that have the self leveling shocks already use a softer or shorter spring than regular magnums. the springs inside the self leveling shocks must make up that 1 1/2".

as far as towing with a lowered car, i guess you could if the tongue weight was light enough to keep the suspension from bottoming out.

If you are interested I have a set of non-towing shocks that I took off when I installed my coil overs. I installed these when I lowered, had the load leveling shocks like you, they were $92 each at the dealer, PM me with an offer.
