I have replaced my burnt out front side marker lights (OEM replacement 168 wedge bulb?) on both sides (the sockets look fine, and there seems to be no burnt wires). However, the new markers don't work. Just to be sure it wasn't the new bulbs, I used a test light to see if there was voltage in the socket when I turn the signal light on, and no there wasn't?! My hazards work, and my front and rear signal lights work. All my other lights seem to work as well (headlights, daytime running lights, reverse, and brake lights).

I checked the fuses, they're fine. I consulted the Haynes manual, and it sucks! The only thing that I found out is that the ground for the lights are in two different places, so I looked towards the +ive line, and yes, they both seem to be connected to the same place via 18AWG BK wire (L7 according to Haynes). However, that's all I found out, I'm not sure where the wire should be physically under the hood...I traced it to a black box to the right of my battery near the driver side wheel well, then I'm not sure where it goes from there?! Does the wire go to a fusable link? Are there other systems attached to this wire (this would be good to know, because if those other systems work, then it may be something else? the ground?)

Just as a side note, when I replaced my licence plate lights (PIAA ultra white 194 wedge bulb), I noticed that the lights were flashing intermittently. So, I replaced the sockets, and that cleared up the problem (despite the fact that the sockets looked just a little worn).
