Anyone know how to change the trunk-mounted brakelight? I pulled off the trunk liner and removed the 4 plastic nuts that hold the big ol' reflector in, but I can't seem to pull it out. It moves about 1/4 inch and then gets stuck.
On another note, anyone else have the interior trunk light fail? Mine has failed twice in one yr.

I've got it off, you have to pull more on the center, just keep going, then pull on one of the sides and then the other. It does come off. Had mine off plenty of times

Thanks,I'll keep trying. Do I have to disconnect the bulbs first? I'm trying to replace a burnt out bulb in the high mount light. When I pulled the lining off, one of the fixtures was dangling. Guess that's the reason for the dead bulb. I can't get the bulb out through the small hole that the fixture goes into (No, I didn't pull hard for fear of breakage).
I'm not very handy. Normally, I would go to the dealer, but I can't see spending $65 to replace a 50cent light.

Got it...Thing was just stuck. One item of note is that the reason I can't get the bulb out is that the mount looks melted. Nothing is broken, just majroly warped. I can either break it and tape the light back into place or order a replacement reflector assembly.
Anyone know a good place to get an aftermarket replacement highmount assembly (or wahtever it is called)?

well to let you know, the 3rd brake light is known for burning out lights fast because of high heat produced by the lights. This sounds like an extreme case of this. I wish I knew where a good place to order it would be, my best advice, try finding a junker car with it on there.
