my friend at work has a 99 jeep grand cherokee 4.0l straight six 285/35/zr/22 tires
the speedometer is not reading correctly after he installed larger tires.
how(w/out buying a hypertech programmer)do we reset the speedometer and make it read correct??

oh i forgot to add it IS NOT a 4x4 :dunno: i have no idea why you get a 2x4 jeep???

Has to be programmed with the DRB scan tool.
But with those tires I am not sure it can be done to be accurate.
It will help if he finds the revs per mile that these tires are from where he bought them and supply the local dealer with this info to see if they can be programmed in or al least make it a little more accurate.

thanks he called the dealer. they just asked the type and size of the tires. said they can reprogram the computer they also did a check on fluids, belts, and rotated his tires for no extra cost. he also found out of a recall on his jeep that needed to be done also so it was a good thing that he had to go to the dealer and get his comp reset
