just wondering if anything is new for the 2006 models over the 2005`s. and did they change anything during the 2005 production from the first 2005`s

yeah, during the '05 model year, they went from a 4 to a 5 star side crash test rating. The GC is now 5stars all around. Check NHTSA.org to see the cut off dates. I just bought one and mine was built in march, I think the cutoff was sometime in Nov. '04.
Nothing new for '06 I've heard of. It was "redesigned" for '05 according to soem websites. What ain't broke, don't fix. It's still the quietest van of all inside and achieves close to the top mpg. It's the jack of all trades. My first van, GC SXT, and it is the bomb. All kinds of neat gadgets.
