Can anyone help me find the radiator fan relay? Neither fan will come on. 40Amp fuse is good. I assume that there's a common fan relay and also assume that this is my problem. Could be way off on this one .....

Ya gotta pull off the air cleaner box. I think just pulling the upper one will do it. You can access the relay, which is supposed to be held on by two self-tapping screws (although from the factory, they originally used plastic rivets, which broke, breaking the ground and causing the failure you experienced) from either above or below. In fact, in removing mine, I found it easier to work from below on removal, and above on installation.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes and whether it corrects your provlem.

Thanks for the info - Now that I have a general idea of where it is, I'll give it a try tomorrow. I never noticed it before when replacing the air filter but from what you said, it sounds like it is fairly low in the car. I bought the part and noticed that the back of the plastic relay is metal so I'm guessing that it bolts directly to the chassis to complete the ground path? If my car used the plastic rivets, then maybe I just have a poor ground path and don't even need the new relay? By the way, you mentioned that you had a similar problem, do you know if its common? Thanks again for the help.

It is very common. I've heard it was subject of a recall if yours had the plastic rivets. Mine came with metal screws, so when mine failed it was for other reasons. Even if they maintain ground, they are known to cook themselves. I know very little about electronics, so I won't speculate why.

Rick,
I found the relay and did the replacement. The new relay is working and fans are back. My relay was held in place by a metal screw as well - only one of two screws were installed, but it seemed like there was a solid ground connection anyway. I checked the relay with a meter after I removed it and compared it with the new relay and they were different. Something definately failed within the old relay. It wasn't a bad job to do once I knew where the relay was. Thanks for all of the help.
