Just making this post to help other people out that might have been having the same problem. Limp-in mode!! What a pain! On my 1995 Dodge Intrepid (i heard it happens on 93 94 95 96 Intrepids as well), ALL the gauges (speedometer, odometer, instrument cluster) would stop working and then all of a sudden start working again. I was getting error CODE 66, TCM not receiving signal from ECM, and it would make my car go into low gear for no reason, i think it was like 1st or 2nd gear. The car towards the end would also just shut off the transmission and stop for no reason and i would have to keep turning the keys on on and off till the car came back on. Ayways I fixed all this by just changing the Ignition switch . The switch is like 40 bux, and saved me from changing alot of computers ( CCD, ECM, TCM, BCM, or the PCM) in the car wich is what i almost did. Just thought i would let you guys know to try replacing the ignition switch 1st. Doesnt hurt to try, im just spreading the word to other people that may be having the same problem or problems.
