when I try to start the engine will not start every time, when it does not start there is no spark. I have put a new coil, and cam sensor in the distributer, new rotor and distributer cap, new spark plugs and wires, new fuel filter. can anyone help? :help: please

It's probably the crank sensor. The crank sensor is mounted on the transmission bellhousing right where it meets the engine block. You'll need to take the engine box off to get to it...it's on the passenger side.

I now have tried a new crank senser. it did not work. i have now noticed that when i turn the key to start the engine, that when it is not going start the check engine light does not come on when i ture the key, if the check engine light comes on when i turn the key then the engine will start. it is easy to start when the engine is cold. but when the engine is warmed up the check engine light does not come no as often as it does when it is cold. if it is warmed up i might have to wait 15 to 30 min for it to start. when it will not start there is no spark from the coil

Hmmmmm that sounds like it could be a problem with the PCM itself. Check the harness connection at the PCM.

If the check engine light does not light, that means that the PCM is not getting power or there's an internal problem with it.

thanks for the answer, that is want I was thinking. I have cleaned the connection at the pcm. it is still doing it. I have ordered a new PCM. It is going to come by Aug. 2. I will post if the new PCM does the job of fixing it. Thanks again for the help.

Yeah it stinks replacing all those parts and it still doesn't work, but without a service manual that has all the test procedures in it, what else can you do. And it's still cheaper than taking it to a shop for them to diagnose.

located on firewall by brake booster..about costs 18.00 at dealer...controls elec to fuel pump coil cps,etc....can be going..also cheap aftermarket coils are no good here...be sure your coil is good and good name..I have had bad coils off the shelf...as far as the codes...disconnect the map sensor and see if she starts..

I am having these cold start problems too. The fuel (asd) relay clicks and clicks for upto a half hour before the check engine light shines bright. then she starts up. this only really happens when its cold out
