This problem refers to my 2001 Caravan SE. The carpet flooring on the front passenger side is always damp/wet due to buildup of water under the carpet. Brought it to canadian tire for a check-up. At first the mechanic suspected a heater core problem and check for any coolant leak as well but everything is ok. Mechanic said it's moisture buildup due to A/C use and normal for this weather condition (humid summer).

I just got this van 3 months ago so no idea if previous owner has this problem during winter. Has anyone got a suggestion to this problem? Am I operating the A/C the wrong way? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

The A/C condensate drain is blocked.
All A/C units create condensation, part of the heat removal, de-humidification process. Although, I don't know where the drain is, I believe this is your problem.

Actually, you may have a problem unrelated to the A/C. Has it been raining heavily near you lately? If so, you have a problem with the cowl drain. There are two of them, and they are under the hood, beneath where your windshield wipers are, and cable-tied to the fenderwells. They are black corrugated hoses that should feed down to around the frame rails. The passenger side one can get torn off if you throw a serpentine belt, causing water that builds up in the cowl to drain onto the floorboard, rather than down to the ground. Check it out. I bet you find yours is missing/broken/clogged.

Good luck, and let us know what you find.
