I have a 1999 Grand Caravan 3.3L V6. The service engine soon light came on about 90,000. I went to Autozone and had them check for codes. The code of "1491" came up which is the radiator fan relay. My question is where is the relay located? Is it is the fuse box or is it located near the radiator? What does the relay look like?
Thanks,
Steve:confused:

it's screwed to the frame rail, approx under your air filter.... box
in that area..
drivers side, looking up from the underside of the van, see the air cleaner housing, look towards the ft bumper, and possibly behind the air deflector for the raidator...
either 3 or 4 wires running to it, 1/4" thick, 2" tall, 1" wide.

This is a solid state item, not your typical relay.
I would double check the rad fan fuses first. if you have a blown fuse try replacing it and do a battery disconnect. You should check your rad fan motors too to make sure they are OK.

I have a 98 Caravan 3.0 eng., and experienced the same problem. I changed the relay 2 weeks ago and it worked fine until about 3 days ago. Fuses are good and fans work when you bypass the relay. Any ideas why it keeps going out would be great!
