2000 Neon runs hard and stalls, Help!

My 2000 Neon seems to run and idle hard. It also stalls sometimes when it is cold.

I put in some fuel injector cleaner and the stalling has stopped. However, it still runs hard.

Should I change my plugs and wires? Could it be a sensor? Could it be a timing belt issue?

The car has 49,000 miles on it now. When is it recommended to change the timing belt?

If the check engine light is not on it's not a sensor. I would go and replace plugs and wires,it's a cheap fix if it works. If not you got that covered, Right! Check your air filter too. It has less than 50 k mi on it so I doubt it's the timeing belt, I changed mine at 80 k,when I had the head off, it didnt look bad, but I had it off.good luck!!!!!
