Has anyone ever installed and used one of the Tornado air intake units? My father has put them in a few trucks, including his RAM GenII and he swears by them saying that he can tell a huge difference. Has anyone else used them? And if so what is your experience? http://www.tornadoair.com

Not worth your time in the 5.9L.
Personally, I think it's a total waste of time but there have been many folks here who won't even bother to sell 'em to other people 'cause the Tornado is one of those things you don't wish even on your enemy.

Still, some people swear by 'em... definitley not something for us big (engine) boys. Save your money.

in a 5.2 or 5.9 the inserts won't help because the air coming in has to make two major turns whil moving through the manifold, and the "swirl" will be lost before it does any good. any gains you might get won't be worth the 70 bucks.

you beat me to it, christian!

I agree with the other guys.....I dont see the tornado making tha much of a difference that it will cover the $70 cost of that piece.

True, I did not think of the loss of air movement in the turns. Thanks for your input. t helps, as you can see there is no Tornado in my intake. Oh yeah, and by the way, Scott, I relocated my IAT Sensor, and it does make a difference in the way it runs. Now I will have to get back to you on my fuel efficiancy though. Thanks.

I dont lie man!:D I noticed a difference so that is why anytime I am asked about it Igive the simple directions on how to do it and then I let the individual members see for them selves. I think for under $1 it is a good mod. Keep up the good work!

It was getting angry with all the rain we have been getting and getting antsy, so finally I just said "I do not care about getting wet" and installed the fog lights and got the PlugNut and did it up. Thanks again. I stopped at an Auto Zone (what a bunch of braindead people) They did not even have , OR KNOW WHAT IT WAS. Went to PEP BOYS and they had exactly what I needed, didnt even have to ask where they were. It keeps the engine from feeling liek it is warmed up. Thanks again, and thanks for the easy how-to.
