Can someboby help me???
My intrepid won't start and I don't know whats wrong. I have no spark but my coil is good, I think. The code reads 12-11-55. It was running one min. then I shut it off then tried to start it and it wont start. Somebody told me it might be the computer. Tell me what you all think.

Well 12 is battery diconnected in the last 50 cycles,
11 is no crank reference,
55 is end of codes. That 11 would have me worried, could just be a bad sensor. I don't know if there is differnce between first and second generation but these came from first gen.

A no crank reference is more than likely a bad crank sensor. This sensor is located on the transmission bellhousing. I believe you have to get underneath the car to get to it.

did you ever get it figured out? i'm just new to this sight and noticed your question and having had the same problem some years ago i thought i'd chime in. just after changing a water pump, one of the pump bolt head broke off got tangled in the timing belt and took out (shorted) the cam sensor. which in turn (or so i was told by the mechanics) shorted the crank sensor. the result of which the engine died and would not start. after replacement of the bolt, the belt, and both sensors the car ran like a champ and no similar problems since. curious to know what caused your problem so please reply...
