Grand Caravan

Thinking of getting a 2005 Grand Caravan,currently have a Durango any one have comments plus or negative on their experience with the GC.

You can see my post concerning issues with my 2002 GC a couple above yours. We are currently driving a 2005 loaner while the repairs are being done to our steering column. I think that Dodge has improved overall in the look and feel of the Caravan, but I can not speak to the performance and reliability of the newer versions. Some noted improvements:

1) location of the DVD player moved back so that driver and passenger in front seats do not bang their heads - thanks!
2) shape and position of the gear shift - much improved
3) noise level decreased versus 2002
4) stow and go seating and storage well in floor

Just as good as any other minivan on the market. The japanese brands are overrated and overpriced. The Dodges and Chryslers are plentiful so they lose their value quickly.

My two cents - You can possibly get a used one for many thousands less, even a 2005 w stow n go.
