Alright, do you guys think I should trade in my RAM for an SRT-4? I have always like the SRT-4 and it's just something like I would really enjoy. Also, Do you think I would get a good trade off my truck? It's a 2003 3.7L V6 with 32k miles on it. My sig tells you everything that I've done to it. Let me know... :D

If you can get enough for it and that's what you want... I say go for it. And if you do, I'd also try and take off as much as you can too.

I went from neon to ram. My neon was cool and fast *Not srt-4* but it was so small and low to the ground.............

personially I would go for the srt4, but then again, Im a dumbass teen with a neon. Unless you tow/haul stuff alot, then keep the ram

After having my srt4 for a week I'm loving it. Only thing I'd check is insurance. I'm 23 and the cheapest I could find with a clean driving record is 1064 for 6 months. Most places like geico wanted an outrageous amount. Being 19 it'll be bad for you too. They hear turbo and they freak.

The only thing cool about the SRT is that it is a fast car, it's still a neon. I'd keep the Ram. It will be much more handy as you get older.

See, that's the thing... I don't tow/haul stuff. My mom bought me the truck in 2003 just b/c she wanted me to have a bigger truck. Well, it's all gonna change now! :D

Trade a Cadillac for a golf cart? You may think you aren't going to make huge monthly payments but wait till you get your insurance bill

Ok wait can someone explain to me why a 4 cylinder fwd car is faster than a rwd charger or 300 v8? If thats true than all those ricers really are onto something? Perhaps i should stop mocking civics? (not being an ass just really want to know)

Ok. I see a lot of ignorance in this thread(not a bad thing, just lack of knowledge) I'm a SRT-4 owner myself, so I'll educate the best I can.

First off, the SRT-4 was the second fastest vehicle in the Dodge line UNTIL the SRT-10 Ram came out. I believe that the SRT-10 is about a mid-high 12 second truck, so therefore its faster than a SRT-4 stock for stock.

Its possible for this car to be faster than the RWD cars(300C, Charger, etc) The V8 cars make more power, but added weight can hamper their performance.

For what the car is, its still a great deal. In its arena(FWD, 4cyl, 2800lbs, 20-22k) It can't be touched. Besides that, it's proven to be the most reliable FI car ever produced. I have put 28k on mine, and have never had any problems with mine, and my car's decently modded.

Yes it's a Neon. Comparing to a golf cart IMO is a bit unfair. For whatever reason the Neon has always had the POS image in the eyes of car enthusiasts. Never mind the fact that the Cavalier, Civic, Focus, etc are way more unreliable than the Neon. Have a little more faith in Ma Mopar than that.

Funk, go for the SRT. I promise you won't be disappointed!

BTW I raced a GTO once. It was close, but I pulled him.

being 19 shouldnt u be in school? I myself before I got the ram was gonna get a 93 thunderbird again and drop in a 331 stroker and push about 400rwhp. Of course I wanted to attend uti in a year, so Dropping 10g's on motor alone plus 1800$ for a bullet proof tranny etc was not going to suit my bill. Speaking from my point of view, keep the ram and be happy you dont have huge payments. My payments for my truck are 310$ a month, but Ill be dropping 600-700$ a month to have it payed off in 12months so I can be free for school. Think for the future, not for tmw

isn't it mid to high 13 seconds not 12?

So are you buying the car from David....

Well, I would like to buy the car from David. I havn't talked to him about it since June I think. Anywho, Ray from the dealership called me the other day and he is trying to get me a deal. I just don't know who I should go through... Like, who would get me the better deal?

Ray Walker is the Internet Sales Manager. He is telling me that this month I can get an employee price of an SRT-4. He seems like a nice guy and all but I honestly think David would be better to go though. I just want the best deal because I am going to have to be paying for this wicked thing. What special DT price can David give me? How much?
