I have a 97 Sport, that I'm lowering 1.75 both front and back. Anyone have any idea on largest tire dimensions that will fit this configuration?

Thanks.

Keep the tire diameter as close to stock as possible. That will keep the speedometer happy, the brakes happy, and won't rub on the lower spring perch in the rear (from experience with 175/80R14 snow tires...).

Lowering the car will not affect spring perch height, so that's not even an issue. With soft springs up front (stock, Eibach), rubbing the fenderwell on tight turns could be a problem if the wheel offset is too small with really, really wide tires (10"+).

Tire section width and wheel offset have a much bigger impact on fitment.

215/35/18's (8.7" section width) on an 18x8" wheel with a 38mm offset seems to work fine, 40mm offset would be extremely tight, smaller than 36 and you might have those problems up front. If you want larger diameter wheels, you're going to pay through the nose for ultra-low profile tires (think $250-300 pre tire).

Best of luck!
