Have any of you ever beat a WRX?

don't own one...but i've seen an 05' SRT-4 race an 04' WRX..the WRX had a little advantage at take-off then the SRT-4 stomped it nasty....

Wow. I wonder if it was stock.

WRXs are slow stock. I beat one with my RCSB Hemi back when I was stock.

A standard WRX against a SRT-4 would be a excellent race. The STI version is quick. It still takes a good driver though, as Shaknbak said, If he can be one with his truck...You have some deiver issues in the WRX.

Not driver issues. They aren't fast bone stock. I even test drove one back in 03 before I got my hemi and it was slow. The salesman had one with a boost controller and exhaust with 2 cats removed and it hauled azz, but stock did not. I took the guy from a stop, from a roll and went around him once even, giving him a head start.

If your truck can hit 60 in under 6 seconds than I guess your right.

So the SRT-4 runs low 14's stock? or is that modded? Either way that's pretty impressive. I've thought about purchasing a SRT-4 a few times, but I'm a big (wide) guy.

My neighbor bought his kid an STi and before any mods he was running 13.2's. His father just sprung for a bigger turbo setup and now it has dynoed in at 395HP at all 4 wheels. Thinks he may be running very low 11's now but has not gone to the track yet. I must admit that thing screws!!

STi is the topline WRX.

An STi is a Subaru Impreza WRX STi. It is a souped up version of the regular WRX. Nice speed, nice interior, UGLY car, but that is just me opining. :D

the sti has about 300 hp stock awd light and quick as for an srt 4 has about 230 stock but i think the srt 4 is alittle lighter the it would be a great race

I was asking more about the standard WRX. There is no way that a stock SRT 4 would take an STI. I have a friend with an STI. While out crusing one night, we came up against an SRT 4. Since I have driven a couple of SRT 4s, and driven his car, he asked me if I thought he could take it. I said I was pretty sure he could, and he smoked the SRT 4. Don't get me wrong, I love the SRT 4, and It's a lot better for the money. The STI costs a minimum of 12,000 more. For 5,000 dollars or less depending on where you buy the parts, you can get a stage 3 setup from your local dodge dealer right over the counter, and make that STI kiss it's ass goodby. :)

You can do the same with the srt-4. The SRT-4 Is the second fastest current production car that Dodge makes. It is also one of the fastest cars dodge has ever made. You can upgrade at the dealer on them too

You wouldn't do good then. Have you sat in one? The seats are good if you're using the car as you should, but I just couldn't get comfy when I was cruising in it.

It depends on what seats you get. The viper-inspired seats are a little tight on me (200lbs. 5' 11") But if you opt. for the side airbags, than you will be able to sit in them easily. They don't have the side-bolsters.

My 14.144 @ 100 was completely stock. Oil, filter, tires, air pressure, etc. etc. The same as the day I drove it out of the dealers lot less than 3K miles ago. I was also on the brakes pretty hard at the end of that run, because it was a bracket race, so I would have been at a 14 flat around 102-103. But I wasn't.

The worst part is that even though I was on the brakes, I still broke out. I dialed a 14.2.......... I should have stayed in it and make a nice run outa it.

It depends on the seats. Theer are two different types depending on the side air bags or not. The one I was in had the racing seats with the side bolsters on it and I couldn't get comfy. Because of them, my legs were too close together for my comfort when just cruising and lifting my left leg on top of them wasn't comfy either.
