Does anyone know what type of factory paint was used on the 97 Neons?

I was told that the dealers should have the paint codes.. but if you go to kragen or auto zone or a store along those lines, they have a book that goes by year and by brand of car, to give you the paint code... not even sure if this answers your question! haha.. also there is a code on your door panel, but i believe thats just for color..

Take your car VIN # to the local PPG paint source. They will type it into a computer and tell you exactly what it is you want to know.LATER......

NAPA, FISHER AUTO, PPG paint shop,Or if you want raped at the local dealler they would be happy to sell you paint.I dont think AUTOZONE will have any type of automotive paint other than a spray can. LATER...

DCX uses PPG paint at all the factories I believe, at least all the factories I have been to in the last 15 years
