My trucks steering is getting rather sloppy these days. Ive had it aligned and the lower ball joints replaced just a few months ago. When driving, she wonders alot and the steering has alot of play in it. I talked to a local mechanic yesterday and he told me Dodge has had problems with there steering boxes.

Can anyone help me out?:dunno:

Get the front end checked out. A loose track bar is a common problem with a few miles.
Steering boxes do get replaced but it might be better to remove yours first and get the over center adjustment done as per the service manual. Have fixed a lot of 2500's this way.

Hope this helps:)

Check you steering shaft for "play'. Have a buddy turn the steering wheel is short back and forth arcs while you watch and feel the steering shaft for looseness. Track bar needs to be checked too.
