I car pool with the wife 3 to 4 times a week in her Mazda "4 banger" to save a little money on fuel. The Cummins sits in the driveway. Being a newbie to diesels, is it bad for the motor or diesel in the fuel tank when the truck to sits idle for days at a time?

Thanks in advance

Unless it drops way below freezing for a few days and the fuel gels

As long as a tank of fuel is used within 30-60 days you will be fine. It can start to go stale after that.

Thanks for the responses. Don't have to worry too much about freezing weather here in central Texas, even during winter.

The only downside to letting the truck sit, is the fact that you don't get to enjoy that nice new truck you are paying big bucks for.
