I have a 1993 Caravan with the 2.5 L engine and 3-speed auto. trans. The transmission is bad and my brother has a 1989 or 1990 Shadow with the 5-speed manual tranny. I am thinking about converting to the 5-speed and would like a few pointers since I have never attempted this before. Questions I have are do I need to change the ECM computer, do I need a shifter from another Caravan or will the Shadow shifter work, will the linkage from the Shadow work, etc.? Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. :help:

So far I have been able to determine by myself that the computer in my 93 Caravan seems to be the same one used in my brother's shadow which is a 91. The 8th VIN is K for both. I would assume that the ECM in my Caravan would work with the 5-speed tranny? Some help from anyone is needed.
