97 Intrepid running rough

My 97 Intrepid 3.5L (140K miles) has recently begun to miss. The missing seems to appear after the car has warmed up, say 5+ miles of driving. Today the missing was so bad that the engine was on the verge of quiting. My step-father was able to retrieve the OBD code: P0300 (Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected).

Any suggestions on what to look for? I've never changed the plugs, wiring, etc., so I'm thinking of starting there.

That would more than likely be a good place to start. Stick with factory or champion plugs.

I heard the platinum 2 plugs had a smaller base so the dont hit the piston cylinder.
Just a thought.
