anyone heard of a bus computer the codes said my bus computyer was inactive

The data bus is a method that the computers talk to each other over a twisted wire pair. If the bus is down, no communication can occur. The bus originates in the engine controller but any wiring problems or shorts in another module on the bus will bring the bus down.
