does anyone know of any place where you can buy new pedals that actually will fit the setup this gas pedal is.. with it being bolted to the floor and all that crap. i think i found someone with the original pedals with like a chrome trim around them that i am thinking about getting.. but i was kinda looking for something else.. does anyone have any ideas?

I swapped my '73 floor mounted pedal for the suspended version from a '91.

I think your truck uses the same gas pedal as the 71-77 B-series vans.

you got any pictures of what the new one looks like? i think im just gonna order the ones with chrome trim, im getting the gas pedal, brake, clutch and emergency brake for around 35.. so probably the best deal i'll find.

I'm having the same trouble. I found a rubber pedal that screws into the floor with chrome trim but that was on ebay and the auction is already over. I wonder if there isn't another solution as I really don't like the look of that pedal.

My '91 pedal is plain, but I've seen decorative suspended pedals, while custom floor mounted pedals are hard to find. My suggestion was only to keep that type of a conversion in mind when looking for the part you want.

I would think those suspended pedals would be a PITA to isntall. Do you mean the ones that have a small bracket mounting to the tranny area or the ones suspended from the firewall behind the pedal? Either way.. yuck. ;) I guess I'll go with a plain floor pedal.

It's suspended from a bracket on the firewall. It took about an hour to install and I did it to keep mud and snow getting behind the pedal and jamming, not for looks. It also allowed me to put more soundproofing material under the carpet.
