Looking for a set of Exhaust Manifold and turbo elbow gauges.
What type do you have and the good and bad you had with them? If you have pic's of them in your truck too, this would be nice to show too.
Thanks

I got my boost, egt and fuel pressure gauges from

www.wildcatdiesel.com

I mounted them in a pillar mount, they look good

I'd post some pics, but I don't have any ......maybe I'll take some later when I get some time :)

Well looking at Geno's Garage web site I have found:
http://216.167.41.9/CoastalData/Category.cfm?&DID=30&CATID=1

Autometer
Di-Pricol
Westach
IssPro
Gauges,

They all look to be 2 inch and will fit into the 1-2 or 3 gauge holder. Pro Pods offers. a triple is around $50. bucks too.

I like the set up on Westach Combo gauges, Saves space. Numbers will be smaller. and price is $195.00. The IssPro's are 120. for the Exhaust and boost will be $46.00. But that is two of the 3 spots of the Triple gauge holder. and you need to pick if you would want a second exhaust gauge (Exhaust manifold or Turbo elbow?? or both??)
or go for the Trans Temp Gauge?
NOW for the other part.
1/8 or 1/4 inch NPT? Exhaust tap size?

I have all ISSPRO guages in my A-Pillar triple pod. I have EGT, Boost, and Fuel pressure. I will try and get a pic tomorrow and post it. I love the EGT gauge. It is color coded green, yellow, and red, so you know at a glance where you are at without having to read the numbers. I am not happy with the Fuel pressure guage. The first one I had started making a lot of noise, so I ordered another one, and it has started the same thing. At the time I got mine, there weren't that many choices for boost guages that went over 30psi, so that is why I went with the ISSPRO. I am running over 40psi of boost under full throttle at times, so I needed a boost guage that went to 50psi. The boost and fuel pressure guages have amber colored lighting, which doesn't go with the instrument panel, so I am probably going to be getting different guages for those two parameters soon. ANY SUGGESTIONS??

As far as EGT's, I don't know how critical it is to monitor it in two different places. My probe is in the exhaust elbow near the firewall. I am considering mounting my fuel pressure guage on the hood, since it is a mechanical guage anyway, and using the vactated spot for a tranny temp guage. I have gotten my tranny pretty warm a couple of times with some heavy pulling at higher speeds throught the mountain regions in the Northeast and in the Smokey's, so feel that I should probably monitor the temps.

Hope this helps, and if anyone can suggest tranny temp, fuel pressure and boost gauges that have similar lighting to the instrument panel, work well, and are in the ranges of 0-50psi for boost, and 0-15psi or so for fuel pressure, I would appreciate it.

The Pro Pods only come in black. They say you can paint it, I will need to paint the other A-piller to have it match the drivers side to make it look right.
I have a black dash and light color A-pillers and because it is 4X4, I have a grab handle on both sides. I am short and I need that handle or I will start using the steering wheel to pull myself up in the truck.
I will go with the Westach high output Gauge combo kit (boost & EG temp) Trans temp.
When I save my pennies up.

Here is a pic of my Autometer triple pod with speaker, and my ISSPRO gauges. The pod came in black, and mounts to the factory A-Pillar. I had to cut some holes through the factory A-Pillar cover to facilitate the routing of the wiring and tubes for the gauges. I got the paint I needed from the Dodge Dealer. It is a spray paint made for interiors such as the door panels, dash, etc. For the camel color to cover the black, it took several light coats and the whole can of paint. (It is a small can). The paint cost like 8 bucks or something, and is a very good match as far as color goes. For those of you with sharp eyes, you will note that the fuel pressure and boost guages are at zero, while the EGT one shows about 275°. That is because I had just shut the truck off, and the EGT guage records the actual temperature of the exhaust elbow, whether the truck is running or not. I can go out to the truck on a hot day, when it hasn't run all day, and it will indicate 80° or so, depending on the air temp. And yes, folks, that is snow on the ground. BRRRRRR!!!!

Isspro gauges for me. Boost and pyrometer. The most (best)accurate place to install the pyro is in the exhaust manifold. The gauge will react to any increase in EGT much faster then a post turbo install. Possible piston damage occurs about 1300 to 1350 F pre-turbo.
