I have a 93 Dakota, with a 5.2l engine. It used to upshift at 1800 rpm. It now refuses to upshift until between 2800 and 3200 rpm. Also, my Overdrive is not coming on. Any help would be welcomed.

First off welcome to the site!
3200 isnt too bad of a shift point but if it doesnt shift into overdrive at all and you have OD engauged then there is a problem....check your fluid levels and the fluid itself...if that is all good then you may need a rebuild. Just my thoughts....Good luck adn keep us informed!

Thanks for the advise, I'm thinking about making adjustments to my throttle cable, and maybe replacing my overdrive sol. before I try and pull the sucker outfor a re&re. What are your thoughts on these options?

my guess is that it is the trans speed sensor located on the passenger side of the trans...I had the same problem on my durango and the part cost $30 to replace and once I scanned it and found out the trouble code it was very easy to replace!....good luck:cool:
