flex that truck out big time with the sway bar disconnected before buying the tires you mention. with this much flex, those 35's may rub on the wagon.

They said in one of the 4 wheel magazines in their test that 35's should fit fine on it.

i say go 35" or wait a lil while and buy like a 4 or 5" lift when one comes out and put some 37s on there...

I'm going with 305/70-17 MTR's on mine. I was thinking bout the 315/70-17 BFG's but I don't want to change the rims and they require a min. 8.5" rim.

scoutermike GM's putting them on factory 17x8's and they fit 17x8's perfectly fine

my tires reccomend 11-13" wide wheels and I'm running 18x9's on them perfectly fine, because honestly, who makes an 18x11-13" wide wheel that doesn't cost 1500$ a wheel?

btw, that's "Reccomend" not "Require" :P

I'm just going by what the local tire dealer said to me that the 315/70-17's needed a minimum of an 8.5

the gm hummer wheels that gm puts 315/70r17 on are 8.5" wide.

well, they'll still fit on a 8" wheel just fine

you're right - because i've had the BFG A/T 315's on my '03 2500 17" stock wheels since day one :D

8" wide wheels are perfect for the 35x12.5 tires. the tire will protect the wheel better than a 10" wheel will.

jeepunit,

Are you planning to use the factory wheels or go with new ones? I put 35x12.5X18 Toyo M/Ts with Weld Velocitis on my 3500 (after I leveled the front), and love them. Take a look at my gallery and see what you think of them. LOL

I've spoken to my local tire dealer and he recommended a CORR MT/R.
They are very pricey and he has to special order them (atleast $550 a tire). He has a set on his truck. He recommends a 2 to 3 inch body lift to stop the rubbing.
So if I can get a set of CORR 37X12.50 R17 MT/R's for my Power Wagon, thats if they don't take for ever to get. Im thinking with a tire this big I might lose out on some of the articulation of the sway bar. So i might start out with a 35" tire????????
