I'm thinking about getting some extra hp from my Durango R/T, I know the first thing wolud be a CAI kit. From there I wolud like pulleys and maybe a computer upgrade, but where can I find some that actually improve the performance.
And another thing I replaced the original Infinity sound system, and added serious bass and stuff, does adding the pulleys interferes with the alternator charging the battery?
:D
I know maybe 8000 guys and girls have asked the same over and over... but I haven't and really colud use the advice so my money can be well spent. Thanks

Just a crank pulley will bring your full charge up to 850 rpms. That should be no problem but if you get the full compliment of pulleys; like alt and water pump and you can even get a pulley for the air conditioner the full charge will jump up to 1200 rpms. You should be idling at about 575-650 rpms. So i would say it would be safe to replace the crank pulley. Underdrive pulleys make their power if there is any from weight reduction mostly and not so much from the actual underdrive. Plus, get a nice cat-cack exhaust sytem and maybe some headers if you can find a good package deal. Borla, gibson and jba are pretty good but I hear alot of complaints from chevy owners about jba headers.

If you idle alot then I dont know if the pullies are the best thing for you, especially with your sound system running and idleing for a long period of time, 5-10 min might kill your battery. If you do the pulley upgrade you will also have to replace your belt.

Guided by your advice, and common sense, I'll forget about the pulleys, and just stick to the other mods. Any good or bad experience with CAI's and PCM's?
There are so many out there don't know which one to buy. I want as much from my engine can give without getting inside the engine.
And again thank for the advice guys.

I found something that intrigues me... at "thefastman.com" they sell O2 simulators. And since I live in Mexico we have less restrictions in many ways... so sholud I consider eliminating the Cat and using the simms? What do you guys think?
