Just got my new SRT 4 this week, the first time I really get on it I'm powershifting 4th gear and the *#%@ shift knob comes off in my hand...If I had been racing someone I'd really be pissed. Who makes a decent shift knob since this thing has no threads and just pushes on? I really like Hurst's T handle but am unsure how to install one due to said lack of threads. Can anyone help? :help::huh: Other than that I love the car, never believed a stock 4 banger would be this fast...it feels like my 5.0 Mustang on a 100 shot! :D

Yea, its a common problem with the stock shift knob. Go to www.modernperformance.com and pick up one of there shift knobs. I bought one and love it.

if its just a metal rod, you can just thread it, go to a place that either sells hardware, or if you can find one, a place that rents out hardware and try to get a kit that fits the size. It isnt too hard.

I noticed you have some 18's in hyperblack...do you know how much the wheels weigh? I'm looking for some super lite wheels for mine, my first choice was Motegi Track Lites but they are not available for the SRT, just other Neons. Also if you have any close up pics of your wheels could you post them? Thanx, Al :D
After doing more research I think I'll go with Kosei Racers in 17x7" they weigh in at 18.1 lbs each.

honestAl...i do believe they now make the Traklites to fit our car...At least the catalog says they do and also has a pic of them in gunmetal on a blue SRT-4

Sweet site! Any more good ones? I will be getting an SRT-4 soon and want a good variety of parts to choose from. Thanks in advance.

there's a guy in cali named gerry that makes excellent shift knobs. i don't think that he's on here, but if any of you venture over to srtforums you can find him there.

they do make traklites to fit the srt now...they were released about a month ago. here they are on my car

Thanks PSI,
Did you use the stock tires or go to 225/45/17's?
