"..... the M80 has been officially green-lighted for production. Another reports that the program has been fast tracked because it's a favorite of Chrysler Groups Chief Operating Officer Wolfgang Bernhard. This, and the fact that the M80 is based a variation of the platform developed for the next generation Dakota and Durango (NB/HB) means that it should be coming to market fairly soon.
Back in February my source speculated that it might show up as early as the 2005 model year. It seems more likely that it will be a 2006, though it may be an early launch (ie early 2005). The launch date will probably be dictated by which facility Chrysler plans to use. ...."

read this, Admin:
http://www.allpar.com/model/upcoming.html
the dakota apparently has hurt sales of the ram, because it's much too big to be a compact truck, but less expensive than a full size. so now they're gonna shrink it.
BUT HEY!!! did you all catch that part about a 6.1L Hemi replacing the v10?? can you say "vroom, vroom, vroooooooooooom!!!"

i showed those pictures to my girlfriend, and she immediately said "it looks like a volkswagen." obvius german overtones...
i'm sure with a 3.7 or 4.7 it will still smoke any and all s-10s and rangers with ease, but man that is a look that takes getting used to.

All I have to say is "Yuck!". I think Dodge has another Pontiac Aztec on their hands. I think this car was made to compete with the Avalanche, too much plastic. Fenders need to be painted the same as the truck. I like the Retro styling especially the rear end. The front Grill looks to much like the Jeep Liberty. Lets all pray they change this concept to look more like an American Dodge and not some Euro trash retro styling.
Q: What do you call 3 Aztecs at a Dealership????
A: Overstock!

After looking at this thing for a while now I think I'm getted used to it. It doesn't look that bad to me anymore. The concept totally makes sense to me. $15k for that truck is great deal, if that's what it ends up being. That price for a 215hp V6, 20" wheels, 4x4, etc. is awesome. That would be a big hit in Alaska where 4x4 is preferred, especially with younger kids. It would be the Neon of trucks.
Personally I think the front end can use some work, but the rear looks pretty cool with the raised DODGE lettering and dual exhaust. It's different, that's for sure.

What is it with the all plastic cars and trucks nowadays?? It seems like every car maker wants to try to make the best bio degradeable car.

I think the thing is hideous. The rear end is ok, because the exhaust does look cool. But other than that I wouldnt buy one. Even if the plastic was removed and sheetmetal put on, I wouldnt like it. It seems like the cars of the future are getting uglier and uglier as the years go by. If that trend keeps up, I am definately going to buy old cars and trucks and restore them.

The way I took "Neon of trucks" meant it would be the economy versions of the full size. The Neon is DC's economy car after all.:)
