I have an 85 Dodge D-100 custom with a slant 6 225, three speed trans with overdrive. I am looking for the front catalytic converter but so far I have had no luck. Can any one help me please???

Catco makes a converter for the slant six. Here's one place I found using a search engine.

Here's a pic of your system courtesy of Walker exhaust. Doesn't look like the pre-cats are available anymore...at least through Walker. It may be possible just to swap in the front pipe w/o the pre-cats and just use the single cat.

Thanks for the info. I am going to eliminate the front cat and run just the second cat and the muffler. I would go straight pipe but I have to have an emissions test for the next five years. But thanks anyway.

Most times the front cat can be eliminated by the use of the proper aftermarket replacement main cat and pipes. The aftermarket companies supply EPA approved replacements. If you have more questions about the exhaust, contact the emissions station/department in your state and ask for some guidance...thats what they are there for. You could also call the Walker Tech Support people for some help too. :)

That's why i love South Carolina- just cut it off, run a piece and away you go, no checks no nothing. :rck:

You can possibly find a complete system without the cat which as it ages, starts to plug up the exit of exhaust from the engine. Which leads to poor performance when climbing hills and steeper grades. You should be able to find a good replacement in JEGS, or any other parts catalog for your application if they carry one. In my opion I would rip it out and glass pack or free flow it for a nicer sound. My D100 Dodge 225 6 is so quiet because of the catalitic converter my little brother thinks it's not running when idling. tjfarrand@hotmail.com
