I installed the Airaid JR Kit and I think it was a good deal. I read in one of the other forums that the stock intake system worked pretty well. I wanted a Volant Intake system but didn't want to drop the $300 bucks. The Airaid JR kit was only $130 and it looks and works well.

What did you pay for your air intake? Has the sound changed much with it?

Yeah, it's given me a nice kick. It's my wife's truck, but when I drive it I drive it hard. I just couldn't justify paying more for th volant system which wasn't much more different in the airfilter box than stock.

Do you have the stock air filter in there, Because I got the airaid kit for $230, and the sound of the open filter is great

i agree, part of the allure of the CAI is the open filter design enabling air to be sucked in from a larger area via a cone filter vs. a panel filter in a restrictive air box...it looks to me like you got half an Airaid setup there...the tube and not the filter....no wonder it was only $130, all you got was a tube!!!

I paid $129 for the JR kit and it came with an Airaid filter and the intake tube. The system uses the stock factor air box which is much like the volabt unit. I had an open filter on my F150 and the sucking sound got a bit annoying.
