Help i think i need a input/output sensor or shift lever switch or something else to stop transmission from going into limp mode. The tach stoped working when this started happing. It will drive app. 10 miles before it goes then can be reset sometimes by turning car off then restarting .If you have any ideas would be very grateful. Also where are these parts located or where can i get a diagram? Heard they are like the size of spark plugs and easy to remove.Already spent enough on this as i replaced ABS module and trans.pack? Thanks Mike

Lots of things can put your tranny into limp home mode. Whenever you troubleshoot a transmission, you always start with the engine. Do you have a check engine light? The CEL will only come on when there is a problem that potentially affects emissions, so you could have codes without the CEL being on.
Assuming that the engine is running right, what codes are you getting from the tranny and how does the tranny run before it locks up?

I have same problem. bought mine from my buddy's tranny shop. Previous owner was afraid of the carr leaving her so she sold it. The dealer said it needed a tranny so my buddy rebuilt it but found no problems inside. We changed selinoid pack as well with no change. still looking for answers. Trial by error. Any suggestions where to look next would be appreciated. I will also update my progress if this can help you. Thanks
