thats a tough one

BTW - Welcome to the site -

I see you are in MA, so try this:

call Pat Walsh at 781.246.3266 - and see if they know - they have a lot of older Dodge parts ....like cab liners, firewalls, matts, visors, weatherseals etc ....

might check out www.rrfiberglass.net for some fenders / running boards ....

also www.vintagepowerwagons.com to see if they have any leads on body parts.

My brother had a older Dodge truck (think it was a 53 - but I'll have to ask him for sure) and he got several parts from Roberts Motor Parts - they are in your neck of the woods as well - West Newbury

www.robertsmotorparts.com

Kanter keeps a lot of parts as well: brakes, tranny stuff, carb kits, clutches, water pumps etc - check out

www.kanter.com

I'd also highly suggest going to your local bookstore and buying a copy of "Hemming Motor News" - may have some leads there as well....

You have a tough project ahead of you - hope things work out - I think you are going to have to press hard to find a complete truck bed - but dont give up !!!! If you call places and they dont have it - ask them to give you some one elses phone number or internet address for another lead - then I would suggest asking them if you could leave your name / number / email address if they run across one !

Let me know what you find out

My "signature" really applies here:

Thanks for the info. Roberts motor parts are great for interior parts.I'll try the other web sites and let you know. I'll give you a little bit more info on my project. The truck is a 50 pick up with 440 out of a 69 roadrunner sitting on a 74 dodge pick up frame. The project has been going on for 12 years off and on and i have had a very difficult time the whole way so all the help i can get the better. Thanks

Chris,

Have you found a bed yet?

One place I would try if you haven't already is

www.dvap.com

That's Desert valley auto parts in Arizona. They have alot of rust free parts for older mopars. You can send them a list of what you need and they will get back to you with prices in a couple of days.

Good luck,
Rich

I have a 1950 + - 1/2 ton short bed that I have been using for parts for my 48 B-1-D. I am not in need of the bed, and your welcome to take a look at it. It is not in the best shape but it is workable. E mail me @ blyas@attbi.com It is in southern NH.
