On my 97 GC
When I start the car or turn the heat on, there is a clicking from the passenger footwell area for about 15 seconds then it stops. Sounds like something is jammed or broken??
Anyone seen this before?
Anyone?

I had a similar problem in my 83 dodge. If it gets louder or faster when you turn up the fan speed, like in mine, it's probably nothing to worry about. I think there was a leaf in the fan compartment. It eventually went away.

I have a 96 regular Caravan and it does the same. If I push the recycle air button it goes away but when ever the a/c is engaged ( defrost or a/c mode ) it will do this. It is not related to the blower fan.
Any ideas before I tear my underdash apart and screw something up?
Thx, Mike

It's just the blend doors going into the correct position when you turn the car on or turn the fan on , this is normal and nothing to worry about , they all do it , it just more noticeable on the 96-2000 years . If you turn the fan off you will also hear it repositioning itself .

My 2001 just recently started this as well, when the fan is in the first position but when I speed it up it disappears.

I found the problem if anyone is interested...
There is a air door motor under the passengerside ducting that opens when you turn on the fan. It is a motor with some gears. One of the gears had a broken tooth.
I just picked up a new one at the junkyard, $5, hopefully it will work better (crossing fingers)
