I have owned a 1993 Intrepid ES for 1 year. In cold weather the car will intitially idle rough, but will settle out without any help. The car will tend to surge on stop to go acceleration. Finally, a few times the engine has actually shut off when braking and a speed of @ 10 MPH. It will start right up and the car will run fine. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John.

Have you run the fault codes or checked the fuel presure? I would be interested to see what results you get from those tests? Might be a good place to start looking for the cause of the issue. Good luck............................Pete

When I am in gear and idling at a stop sign. Idle speed is good, but there is a slight vibration on the floorboard. If I release the brake or go into nuetral the vibration stops.

I replaced the EGR valve, cam position sensor, and throttle postion sensor and the problem went away. That fixed the stalling problem, but if you read my posting about the idle speed. That's the next project.
