just purchased a 98 grand caravan, 113,000, full power, etc, paid 3000 was that tioo much? so i bought a manual for it and went ahead and tried to swap out the radio for a chrysler sized pioneer CD player. I didn't disconnect the battery, and when i pulled the gray clip out it sparked.... now i have a few problems a) the radio doesn't work @ all, when i put the original back in it lights up, thats all b) when the van is running the locks and horn work fine, when i turn it off the locks do not work, nor does keyless entry and the horn. also i believe it should be like my 03 durango, if i take the key out and then turn the lights off they should stay lit for a litttle, is this correct??if so, it is not doing this either, any suggestions? two things threw me off, the ground strap, i think, and a little amp wire thing??

I know exactly what you did wrong because I made the same mistake once. If you go under your hood on the driver's side fenderwell and open up the Power Control Center, you'll find a single red fuse all by itself at one end. Unless I'm way off, you'll find it's burned out. Replacing it will get everything back in order.

P.S. You've probably heard this already but next time you work on that thing, make sure you disconnect the battery.

yeah i know, lol, i just didn't think it would matter with the radio, and it wouldn't have if i didn;t have such a hard time getting the gray clip off. i live on 85th between colonial and ridge, looks like we are, or were?, neighbors
