Santa bought me a few goodies for my van that I finally got around to installing this weekend. MSD 8.5mm wires, MSD Blaster coil, brass cap and rotor, and I even put a set of those autolight 3923s that everybody likes so much. I like the every thing but not sold on the plugs yet. I've always used Splitfire plugs and seemed to get a little extra kick out of them, not alot, just a little extra.
Next is the throttle body, ordered a Fastman 50mm today, cant wait to install it, from what I read here, its one of the best power mods u can do. Then I cant wait for the weather to get better so I can drive it.
I've already had the K&N and Flowmaster, and changed gears from 3.55 to 3.92. I like it! Maybe a high-perf PCM next. :D

Dan, first, congrats on all the goodies! I must have been bad as all I got was a distributor and cheapo turbo mufflers.
Second, I was wondering if you would be willing to reveal where you aquired the NorCal wing on Blues Traveler?
I would luv to add one on my 77 and did find one listed at showcars-bodyparts, but I've heard that company is very pricey.

Vandude, my nor-cal came from Valley Van in Valley stream LI, NY. 516-561-1231, OR 516-561-1200.
I bought that wing for about $110.00 about 13 years ago. A friend of mine in Pa just got one from some website in Canada, I forget which one, but I think he said it was about $300.00 today. Good luck.

Dan, you the man!
Thanks for the info, dude.
I assume your van has OD and was wondering, did the rear-gear change have much effect on gas mileage?

Yes I have OD. Gas milage was not affected at all, power is up, real happy with the gear change. I dont drive it around town much, but the little that I do, I think city milage may have gone up a slight amount.

I'm planning on a gear swap eventually...from 3.55 to 3.92, but I want to go to a Sure-Grip. I'm going to be doing some engine/exhaust mods first and see how that does.

Don't know if I totally agree with the 400HP thing...but who knows it may very well be. Nice looking ride though. He says that he maybe planning on the 5.7 Hemi. I think that would be an awesome upgrade.

Thanks sp, that van must move. I never knew for sure if headers would fit a later model van like mine, now I know they will. They look pretty too!
I was interested in the 80hp from the underdrive pullys till I read that he has to put it in neutral at lights, that wouldnt work for me, I have alot of lights to keep running and AC is very important to me too.
I wonder why he keeps it lookin so stock? The 5.7 hemi crate motor is a future dream for me too. I'll wait and se how it works out for him. Thanks for posting it.

The Throttle Body is in, installed it last night, test drove it for 7 miles, real nice, feel the differance right away, nice noticable power increase.

Right on, are the headers next? Let me know if there are any other changes, fuel milage, throttle response.
Art (the 400hp white van) is keeping the stock look so he can surprise the guy next to him. He refers to the van as the "wolf in sheeps clothing". He's retired and just having fun with it.
