It has the Infinity system which sounds good but could use a little more thump.

I dont have the Infinity system in my 2002 GC but i do have a 12inch Cerwin Vega sub and a 500 watt Rockford Fosgate amp hooked to the stock stereo using an InstallEdge http://www.installedge.com line output converter but any brand will work..
i also added a toggle switch to the power cord to the amp so if theres times i dont want all the bass (which is never) or if some1 you dont trust with ur stereo is driving u can flip that switch so they wont mess up the sub..
with the stock 6 speaker stereo system and sub it sounds really good just make sure its a good brand of sub..
i dont know how the infinity system is set up but it should be pretty much the same but you might need a PREMIUM SYSTEM INTERFACE InstallEdge makes those too..
What brand of sub do u have Ratler?

One of my best friends gave me a Soundstream T4-12 12" sub for Christmas. The thing is insane (requires at LEAST 900 Watts RMS) and am saving up to get an amp powerful enough to use this sub. I'm worried that the Infinity System I have in my car my be drowned out by the sub once I install it. It may look like I may have to upgrade the remaining interior speakers along with the sub. I may stick with Infinity interior speakers (possibly go with their Kappa series) but I'm not sure right now. I do know that my head unit will be replaced eventually.....prolly with an Alpine unit...
