What is the wheel size on a 04 durango. I know they are 17in. The reason why I asked is my brother in-law wanted to get some new wheels for his wifes durango. Well the shop he order the wheels didn't fit. They said they had a problem with them going over the brake cap. What is good site to search for wheels? He wants 17in so he can reuse his current tires.

Is there a differance from a 03 to 04. Why do you think the other ones didn't clear the brake cap?

Maybe because the 04 is a clean sheet redesign, which has 5 lug wheels and 17 inch rims, where in 03 they had 6 lug rims?

Could be clearance of the brakes. I had a 95 Ram 2500 HD w/ factory 16" chrome steel wheels. Dodge came out with a 16" aluminum for the 2500 HD in 99. They would not work on my '95 because I had larger brakes.

Check out http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/fitmentdrawing.jsp. They illustrate a lot of the measurements that must be taken into account when buying new wheels. Several of these aren't as critical when moving to a larger size, but if you want to keep 17's, I imagine that just about every one of them will apply.

I am going to have the 17" ram off-road wheels put on my D, I kept them from when I traded my ram in.
